It's Halloween .....

jarred #20
Fine.
And while I might not otherwise have mentioned it this ghoul standing next to me prodding me with a sharp stick wants me to add:
just about any intact human corpse can be draped over a chair, and "entertained".
More than once. ;)
That ghoulish enough for you?

All Hallows' Eve falls on 31st October each year, and is the day before All Hallows' Day, also known as All Saints' Day in the Christian calendar.

" Anglican church " #22

The poem about Hank8's 6 wives as recounted by
late night TV host Craig Ferguson 08/10/24:

Divorced, beheaded, died,

divorced, beheaded, survived.

Fine.
But, a brief ponder on humanity:
Some parents may feel a "keeping up with the Jones'" rivalry with their neighbors,
the ones that own the doors their own children will be knocking on this Halloween (just 13 days away 😲 )
Some parents may be tempted to express their: "I love my rug-rats better than you love yours." message
with lavish Halloween costumes as depicted in #22, "fit for a king".

Which is more important?
One-upping the neighbors? Or well-raising the young'uns?

Rather than stretching beyond credulity the notion their 8 year olds understand
the finer points of 16th Century English history, might it not be better for the children
to express their own creativity in Halloween costume design?

Which is really more important?
Nurturing children, or adult's perceived status in the neighborhood?

Happy Halloween ?
